There’s a lot of ways to make money, and here are some of the best ways we have found.

How to Make Money Online?

Making money online is one of the easiest things to do since you can make money online wherever you have a computer and internet. Here are some of the best ways that we have found to make money online.

1. Get Paid to Take Online Surveys

You can take surveys on your lunch break at your normal job, at home, on your laptop, on a desktop, on a tablet, or phone. You can either earn cash or points. If you earn points you can redeem them for cash or gift cards. Some sites like InboxDollars and MyPoints will even pay you to sign up. There are also sites like CashKarma, Survey Junkie, Ipsos i-say, Swagbucks, Toluna, and LifePoints.

2. Become a Freelancer

Freelance sites are a great way to make extra money. You can write essays, write blog posts, create website content, do graphic design, edit novels or papers, or anything else you could possibly think of. These types of sites are popping up everywhere. Some of the more popular ones are Fiverr, Freelancer, Guru, PeoplePerHour, and Upwork. Some of the not as well-known ones that are getting noticed are Toptal, Solidgigs, and 99designs.

3. Participate in Online Mock Juries

Most people run from Jury Duty, but what if you got paid to do it online? MTurk occasionally has these, but there are sites dedicated to paid mock juries. Some of the best sites are Jury Test, Online Verdict, Virtual Jury, eJury, and Resolution Research.

4. Join Online Focus Groups

An online focus group could be either a virtual community, conducted via conference call or even done with Zoom. It is basically a small group of people that are put together and tell their thoughts on a topic or product. Some of the popular sites are Respondent.io, User Interviews, Survey Feeds, FocusGroups.com, Mindswarms, and Engage.

5. Work on Mechanical Turk

MTurk is an Amazon site. You register and start working. They have surveys, data entry, and more. You might get a penny for a few lines of text, or $20 for an academic research experiment. The money you make can either go into your Amazon account on your gift card balance or get deposited into your bank account.

6. Sell Your Old Stuff

There’s a lot of websites out there where you can sell your old stuff. Basically like an online garage sale. You post pictures of what you want to sell and either a cost or start an auction. When you get paid, just ship it off! You can use eBay, LetGo, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, or even Amazon.

7. Create Podcasts

If you create podcasts, you can use the podcast to discreetly advertise something. You can also have people pay to subscribe. People and companies will pay you to mention their products. You can get money from your listeners with Indiegogo or Patreon.

8. Evaluate Search Engines or Test Websites

Search engines and websites need to be easy to use, or they won’t get used. There are a lot of jobs out there to help with the trial phase before launch or for sites or engines that aren’t performing at their peak. Check out UserTesting.com, TryMyUI, and Lionbridge to see what you can get started on.

9. Find Lost Money

Whether you have lived in one state your entire life or moved around, you may have money out there you don’t know about. Each state has its own site to look for unclaimed money. This could be a utility deposit that you never received, bank dividends, or anything else. You never know unless you check! The best way to do this is to search whatever state you have lived in with unclaimed money with the state name.

How to Make Money From Home?

Making money from home is everyone’s dream. No commute, no traffic, no set schedule. Here are the best ways to do it!

1. Have a Garage Sale

This tried-and-true method has been popular for decades. Clear out your home of all the clothes you’ll never fit into again, those horrid Christmas presents your Great Aunt gave you ten years ago, or stuff that you just don’t use anymore. Pile it outside in your driveway and make Garage Sale Signs. Some states and cities do have certain days or require a permit, so you should check into that first. Anything you don’t sell, list on one of the sites we mentioned in the How to Make Money Online section above!

2. Rent a Parking Spaceone Site

If you live in a touristy spot or downtown in a big city, you might be able to rent out a parking spot. The only catch with this is you need to check with your landlord or the city to make sure you are allowed to. If you are in an apartment and have more than one spot, you could rent it to another resident with multiple vehicles or boats.

3. Create Online Courses

If you have a lot of knowledge, share it! There are sites like Udemy where you can create an online course and get paid for people who take it!

4. Rent a Room

You can advertise online, use word of mouth, or even list on Airbnb. Whether you rent it daily, weekly or monthly you can get quick money this way!

5. Rent a Space in Your Yard

If you have a lot of lands, or even just a big backyard, you can make money. You can list one (or more!) camping spots on Hipcamp. Spots average from $25-$50 a night depending on the location and if you can offer any amenities such as running water, firewood, or a bathroom. The more you can offer, the more money you can make! The other option would be for RV’s and boats that need a temporary home. If you have space and no homeowner association rules, this is a great way to make money from home without letting strangers in your house!

6. Write a Book

Maybe you have a story in your head, and never knew how to get it out there. Maybe you have a lot of knowledge to offer and want to write a how-to book. It is ridiculously easy to publish an ebook on Amazon using Kindle Direct Publishing. You can make paperback books as well. It is really easy. If you don’t want to proofread and edit yourself, you can hire a freelancer to do it, but that is a bit counterproductive when you are trying to make money!

7. Become a Tutor

There are sites like SuperProf and Knack that you can register on and become a tutor. You could also tutor kids in your neighborhood.

8. Babysitting

If your neighborhood has a Facebook page, make a post that you are offering Babysitting Services. Your other option is to make an account with Care.com or sittercity.com.

9. Get Paid to Review Items

There are companies out there that will have you buy an item on Amazon and review it. You get reimbursed for the cost of the product and then anywhere from $5 to $20 for the review. Sometimes you can find this opportunity on a card or sticker on something you have bought from Amazon, so check everything and read everything. Sometimes these opportunities are listed on some of the freelancer sites.

10. Become a Pet Sitter

Some people don’t like their pets to be home alone when they are at work. Other times they can’t go on a business trip or vacation with their pet. There are sites like Rover.com and Wagwalking.com where you can list your services. You can also get paid just to take a dog for a walk, or a confused iguana or cat…
